This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a fascinating group of curious, enthusiastic, and hard-working inner-city high school students from all kinds of backgrounds and family situations. They are a joy to teach, and they love to create and explore their creativity. They amaze me and themselves every day.

The library is a place where students come to relax, focus, finish projects and research.

It is a place that should look and feel welcoming. A well-designed library commons will make students feel at ease and will result in more productive study time. A warmly decorated environment will engage the students and encourage them to browse. Face-out displays will make it easy for people to casually browse through book titles and genres they may not have considered before. Those who browse are also more likely to linger in the library and read.
