My Project

It's time to refresh my classroom library. After many visits to the "book hospital" (masking tape), some books have moved on and new ones are needed! Over the years some titles have remained popular (Fly Guy, Mercy Watson, Knuffle Bunny, Elephant and Piggie), and there's new ones too (Who Would win, Pizza and Taco, Narwal and Jelly). We also like to add new titles to help teach about the environment and climate change, as well as women in science. My students love these books and read them over and over. First Grade is a HUGE reading year. kids develop as readers, and figure out what they want in a book. I can't wait to continue this reading journey with my next group of kids!
