it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a second-year teacher at a Title I school, I am dedicated to creating a classroom environment where my second-grade students feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn. Many of my students face challenges outside the classroom, and I believe that by providing them with a welcoming and engaging space, we can foster a love for reading and learning. They are curious, eager learners who love experiencing new books. My project aims to establish an inviting classroom library filled with diverse and engaging books, flexible seating options for cozy reading spots, and decor that transforms our classroom into a place students are excited to come to each day.
