This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the most amazing students coming in and out of our school library daily. I don't have a typical quiet library. You can hear the students laughing and having an enjoyable time each and every day.

My students are amazing, helpful, caring, funny, storytellers, compassionate, and most of all turning into avid readers.

They are always asking what they can help within the library.

My Project

We have an extreme amount of books getting checked out and returned on a daily basis in our school library. I have requested a library cart because I don't have enough space on the library cart we have for books being returned.

It's disappointing to see books stacked on the floor by our shelving because we currently have only one large cart to place books on once they are returned.

This new library cart will help me have a place to put returned books until I have enough time to get the books back on our shelves.

I'm so proud of my students' love for reading and desire to help in the library when they come in.
