My Students

My students are the sweetest bunch of six year olds you will ever meet! They come from all different backgrounds, family dynamics , and academic levels. The needs of our student population continue to grow as our financial resources shrink.

A large amount of my students receive free and reduced-price lunch and receive meals and gifts from our Kiwanis club.

This year in particular, I have several students who recieve ESL support and some students who speak little to no English. We have a room full of diverse learners but at the end of the day we are all meant to be together!

My Project

I am looking to get more books for my students independent reading. These books need to be leveled to help meet the needs of all children. I am working on collecting fiction and non fiction books. I had previously done another project but it was too much money and not funded! I am hoping with the gift cards we have towards our project we can help get some new books! The children are thriving and I can't wait to see them grow even more! They are the sweetest and most appreciative students I have ever had the pleasure of teaching!
