My Project

These materials will help me give our old library a face-lift. Our library is also a classroom where our students have Spanish and history classes; unfortunately, our chairs are so old that they are literally falling apart. We have a mix of four different types of old chairs that are wobbly and broken.

I want to make our school library more inviting, welcoming, and comfortable for our students, staff, and community members.

The library is the heart of the school. Students gather here first thing in the morning before classes start, during lunch, and after school. They come in to check out books, to visit, to eat breakfast, and sometimes lunch. Teachers meet here for staff meetings, school board meetings, and booster club meetings, among other groups.

New chairs, a desk, and some decorations will spruce up our rural, small library, making it a more enjoyable space for the informational, educational, and recreational needs of our community.
