This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As the librarian at our elementary school, I get the joy of working with every student on campus sparking curiosity, supporting reading goals, and providing a welcoming space to learn and explore. My students are eager learners who love to write, color, annotate, and express their ideas. But to keep our library running smoothly and student-centered, we need some everyday essentials that make a big difference.

This project will help restock supplies that keep our library organized, creative, and ready for learning.

Items like Sharpie markers and Post-it Notes are used for student projects, book reviews, and labeling shelves. The thermal laminator and pouches will help preserve student work, signage, and reusable learning tools. Colored pencils and crayons—especially the inclusive “Colors of the World” set—help students represent themselves in drawings, maps, and response activities. Packing tape and disinfecting wipes keep our space clean and our materials in great condition. The fingertip moistener is a simple but helpful tool when checking in and sorting hundreds of books daily.

My goal is to provide students with a library that’s not only filled with books but also filled with opportunities to express, create, and organize their learning. Your support will keep our library active, accessible, and student-ready every single day.
