My Project
My students are not always motivated to read. I work at a Title I school; reading is how these students will break the walls around them. Reading is going to help inspire them to dare to dream about what sets their souls on fire. Reading will open their eyes to all the possibilities before them, even if they are a little hard to see. Reading will grow my student's empathy and understanding of the human sitting next to them, and reading will make my students better members of the earth. We need books of all kinds to reach every student.
All students are different, so having multiple titles in a class library is essential if you want students to become readers.
I plan on adding these titles to my current library to help expand my students' choices for independent reading students throughout the year.
