My Project
I serve as the Library Media Specialist for my K-12 School! I serve over 600 students in my school. The library is a very busy and popular space in our school. I always keep a candy basket for the students to get throughout the school day! When a student is having a hard day and need a pick me up, they know they can stop by the library for a piece of candy, a kind word, and someone to talk to if they need that too. I feel something so small, can mean something so big for a student who needs extra support or is just having a hard day!
Providing a safe space for students to feel welcomed is so important to me and my students!
This project will allow a refill for my candy basket to last for the rest of the school year! I keep the candy bin out every day and the candy goes quickly, so this refill would be so helpful!
