I have included many library books for my students to read throughout the year. All of the books included also have accelerated reading tests over them, which will help my students earn points for field trips.
Having a classroom library is crucial for fostering literacy and creating a positive learning environment.
It provides students with increased access to books, encouraging them to read more frequently and for longer periods. This, in turn, improves reading comprehension, vocabulary, and overall reading speed. Classroom libraries also help to make students become literary, not just literate, by fostering a love of reading and exploring different genres and styles.
