My Project
Reading can open our eyes to worlds and perspectives outside of our own experience. Books can also act as mirrors, helping us to better understand our own lives.
Our school library needs updated books about our students’ home countries.
These books are one of the most requested nonfiction topics. Students want to read about their home countries and see pictures of familiar places. These books also provide an opportunity for all students to learn more about the world around them. Adding these books to our library will help engage my students in books and cultivate a lifelong love of reading.
