My Project
There's nothing quite like a school library. For many of our students, it's the only library they know. On the other hand, reading can be difficult for them.
It's important to grab their attention quickly.
I try to do this with a mix of fun and informative books that appeal to our diverse population.
I also try to make the books noticed, and extra appealing, by helping to make them shine. Instead of just being placed side-by-side on the shelf, many are displayed on stands. They have bright, clear protective covers on them (makes even older books look better!). There's only so much time to make an impression, so I want to help the books shine for our students.
