My Students
My students are from varied backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, ethnicities, and experiences. I have students from both ends of a wide spectrum of ability, strengths and weaknesses. I strive to offer a variety of activities to engage students of all levels, interests, and abilities. The materials we receive will help me to continue to motivate and invigorate my students' learning.
The students at my school are the best and never cease to surprise me with how hard they work.
I am always proud when I get to tell someone where I work because they know we are the best school with the best kids!
My Project
Our students are inquisitive about the world around them, so we think it's important to give them as many ways to experience new adventures and ideas as possible. With this project, we will be able to get highly imaginative books to add to our library collection.
Books give our students a view into new worlds; Chromebooks give them the tools to create their own worlds.
Most of the books on this project are wordless books, which will make them accessible even to our youngest readers but still provide insight into the different forms of story telling for our older students. With the Chromebooks, the students will be able to explore the ideas, people, and places they saw in the books in the real world. They will be able to create their own stories and experiment with different forms of storytelling through apps such as G-Suite, comic creators, student run podcasts, and video recording.
