This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Books are wonderful and allow students to escape into a magical world. Continued circulation of titles is amazing, that is, until books are ripped, torn, pages start falling off, etc. We have stacks of books waiting for repair but have lacked the proper tools and supplies to fix these issues.

Our students are missing out on the joy of reading these books because they have been put away waiting to be repaired.

Tools such as the guillotine will help cut book covers to size; label cover protectors to put over barcodes; hot glue, scissors, and Mod Podge to bind books again. Microfiber cloths and Lysol wipes to clean the books. These are tools and materials needed for a good starting point that will allow us to get the stacks of books back in circulation and enjoyed by our students.
