This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our school district, the libraries do not have annual budgets. Previously, our library was filled to the brim with old and tattered book selections that rarely got checked out. After a thorough weeding project, it was found that the catalog was missing many popular book series.
We hope to add these popular fiction series to not only motivate students to read, but develop their empathy and understanding.
As we add more contemporary book selections we hope to rebuild the library's selections and student motivation. The book list for this project is not exhaustive, but merely a starting off point.
