Help me give my students a Board Game Zone in the school library so they can unplug, learn, and relax together while playing games like "Squashed 3D Strategy" and the classic "Ticket to Ride."
"Work hard. Be kind." This isn't just our school motto. It's a point of pride and a guiding force in our small, rural New Jersey 7-12 school. We are a tight-knit community where everyone knows each other. Our students are engaged and involved...with sports, music, clubs, volunteering and work. In most ways, we are your typical school...a hive of activity and ambitions. But, our school feels special because of the powerful connections and strong relationships between students, parents, teachers, and the community.
My Project
Kids need to de-stress and connect in a positive, safe, and engaging environment. The South Hunterdon School Library is the go-to place to work, get help, meet friends, and connect. This role will be enhanced with the addition of a Board Game Zone, stocked with highly engrossing board and card games.
Games offer an opportunity to unplug and socialize while fostering learning and the development of skills like:
--collaboration & teamwork,
--strategic thinking,
--organization & planning,
--problem-solving,
--resiliency, and
--imagination & creativity.
By donating to this project, you will help students unwind, power up, and develop positive social and cognitive skills.
