Help me give my students class sets of books to create an at home library! Our titles include Bud, Not Buddy, third Grade Angels, Fourth Grade Rats and more.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are engaging and hands-on students with a zest for learning! They are the reason that I teach. I work at a Title I school where the income and education gap is evident.
Because of the pandemic many students are going remote.
I know they do not have the necessary learning supplies at home that they will need. Our budgets are dire this year and that means that schools are unable to help as much as they would like to. My students shouldn’t have to suffer for that, they are much too special!
My Project
I am requesting class sets of books so students can create an at home library! Our titles include Bud, Not Buddy, third Grade Angels, Fourth Grade Rats and more. These materials will be so helpful to our 100% remote students who don’t have the luxury of books suited to them in their homes. This will enable students to do independent reading and not get bored as their is are vast genres for them to choose from.
Since my students are at home during the pandemic and sharing books are not recommended, it is imperative that they are able to carry on with their reading from home.
Nothing should deter a child from their love of reading. Nothing feels better than cozying up in a corner with a good book!
