My Project
Our students are bright, inquisitive, funny, compassionate, and energetic young people and learners! They come to us with a wide range of interests and talents, abilities and challenges. I work at an urban elementary school in southeastern Wisconsin where the majority of students are economically disadvantaged and are from one or more minority populations.
Our students deserve the very best we can possibly give them.
Classes visit the library weekly, where they participate in lessons that combine library and classroom curriculum. The color printer and ink will help provide high interest, attractive supplemental materials to support library lessons. By providing students with more of these types of materials, their attention and engagement in lessons should increase. Educators currently do not have access to a color printer at this school. Additionally, I will be able to produce materials more quickly, rather than having to do downstairs to retrieve the "only in black and white" materials from the office copy machine. I'm super excited at the possibility of creating materials for our students using the printer!
