This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a group of the smartest, little learners in my entire school! They come from different backgrounds; some ride the bus in from far away neighborhoods and some live across the street. We are a blended special education and bilingual classroom within a ninety percent free or reduced-price lunch within a school.

Pre-kindergarten is one of the most important grades in school.

It is the time when students get hooked on education. The best way to hook them is with adapted materials that will allow them to learn in an individualized way.

My Project

Our library has been transformed this year; from a sad monolingual library with few books that represent the students or community to a dynamic, bilingual mirror for my students. Now we push even further and make the library more fun than just reading.

Please help me get my students a writing table, dry erase markers, erasers, and clipboards so that they can use the library center in ways that showcase their respective language and cognitive understanding of stories.

The whiteboard contact paper will be placed on top of the table for group writing, drawing, and brainstorming.
