I need some help to register for this professional development opportunity through Library Juice Academy to learn more about XML code to work with students on a project digitally editing narrative.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Brown's classroom raised $334

My Project
Each semester, I teach a library science class that delves into current topics in library world. One of the major conversations that the students eagerly engage is the concept of information creation, discovery and dissemination. We talk about how categorizing books in different ways makes them less or more accessible to the public and how the person in charge of "tagging" books can be incredibly powerful. On a micro level, we talk about the process of editing and how this process is also an act of recognizing or valuing a piece of writing and marginalized voices, in particular.
Students learn the basics of XML, code that allows them to input tags into a narrative to edit the text and make it a digital resource.
I would like to learn more XML to feel more confident when working with my students. For this reason, I would like to take the Library Juice Academy course in XML. Thank you!
