The planning of this event felt especially intentional, especially at a time filled with so much contention. I am delighted to have been joined by our BLM Task Force, which came together, using their individual and collective thoughts, experience, and brilliance to create a day of creativity, social awareness, and inclusion for all. \r\n\r\nMany of the art projects for this day would not have been possible without the support of donors like you. Thank you! Our students had an incredible day, thanks to you. Students became artivists (art+activist) and learned about using their creativity to express themselves and find their voice. One student told me that they had never done any quilting and was really interested in this type of creative expression. Other students mentioned that adding leaves to the Tree of Life felt really meaningful and reminded them of loved ones who had touched their lives.\r\n\r\nTwo weeks later, I am still hearing praise from both faculty and staff on the joy felt during the day. To receive that kind of affirmation, that the hard work of our BLM Task Force team truly resonated and made a meaningful difference, feels incredible. And much of this would not have been possible without your generosity. Hot chocolate on the cold days, a bowl of ramen because the cafeteria is closed, a granola bar to help perk up a focused studier. \r\n\r\nAnd now the snacks are living in the \"Take it or Leave it\" free food market that students and faculty have created to support anyone in our school building who is hungry, is experiencing food insecurity or simply needs a boost duran the school day. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for your generosity and kindness.
