LGBTQIA+ romance books for our new high school library!

Help me give my students new LGBTQIA+ books they have been asking for! I am re-opening a high school library and am in need of many more inclusive and representative titles.

My Project

I'm re-opening a high school library after many years without a librarian. We had two LGBTQIA+ books in the collection. Both are excellent books, and both were written when my students were toddlers. We need many, many more for our current students!

We need inclusive LGBTQIA+ books in which all gender identifications, expressions, and sexual orientations are represented.

On this list are a few classics and many very new books. Over half the books on this list have characters and/or authors of color, which is important in my school community. My students have been asking for these titles! A few titles include This Book Is Gay, Gender Queer: A Memoir Deluxe Edition, The First to Die at the End, and They Both Die at the End.
