LGBTQIA+ Graphic Novels, Young Adult Titles, and Picture Books

Help me give my students access to LGBTQIA+ books. Many of our LGBTQIA+ books are over ten years old. Our students need access to recent publications.

My Project

Many of our students identify as members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Our library needs to update and expand our collection to best reflect the population we serve. We need more intersectional works that represent the multitude of identities contained within our student body. Students have advocated for more trans inclusive literature, along with more genre fiction and graphic novels.

Every student has a right to see themselves represented within their school library.

We want to build an inclusive reflection so every student knows the library is a welcoming and affirming place.
