This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We’ve seen some great energy in our advisory class thanks to our weekly Lexia reading challenge! Every week, students work toward a goal of completing the most units to earn a prize. It’s been wonderful to see how this challenge helps them take ownership of their work while sharpening their reading skills and building stamina. We love the tradition of cheering for the top three students each Friday, fostering a supportive environment. We also added a monthly award to celebrate the student who shows the most growth and consistency over the entire month, recognizing dedication beyond just weekly wins.
