This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At our alternative charter high school, students in the CTE Gaming and Animation program are rewriting their futures—one frame at a time. Many come from underserved backgrounds and thrive in hands-on, tech-driven environments that spark creativity and build real-world skills. To help them reach the next level, we’re requesting an Xbox Series X to transform our classroom into a dynamic hub for game design, animation testing, and interactive storytelling.

Why Xbox Series X?

• Industry-Relevant Tools: Students will use the console to test Unity and Unreal Engine builds, analyze gameplay mechanics, and explore console optimization—skills essential for careers in game development and XR.

• Career Readiness: From debugging frame rates to designing UI for controllers, students gain experience aligned with professional pipelines in gaming and animation.

• Inclusive Engagement: The console offers a familiar, exciting platform that draws in reluctant learners and empowers them to collaborate, create, and showcase their work.

• Cross-Curricular Impact: We integrate cultural storytelling, coding, and visual design—giving students a voice and a portfolio they can be proud of.
