it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach at a Title I middle school where my students inspire me daily with their resilience and passion for soccer. They come to practice eager to learn and play. However, we lack the essential equipment to provide them with the training experience they deserve.
Our boys and girls soccer teams need soccer balls, cones, practice nets, pinnies, and other training tools to improve their skills and teamwork.
With proper equipment, we can create an environment where they feel valued, supported, and motivated to succeed.
Soccer is more than a sport for my students—it’s a safe space where they learn discipline, leadership, and the importance of collaboration. Many of my students face challenges at home, and soccer gives them an outlet to express themselves and build confidence.
