Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

When I teach catching, throwing, dribbling, kicking, and other ball skills, I see instantly the kids who have been exposed to various sports camps or have equipment at home to play with. I see the kids who are doing these things for the first time and though they are having fun, they struggle a little more than those who have had this experience.

We can level the playing field by handing out volleyballs and soccer balls to those kids who don't have this equipment so they can gain experience, confidence, and skills.

As adults, it is our responsibility to give every child the opportunity to excel, and this is one way we can accomplish this.
