Leveling the Playing Field: Calculators for All Chemistry Students

My Project
Math is an integral part of chemistry and the content students will be learning requires use of equations involving exponentially large (and small) numbers. Even for advanced mathematicians these numbers can be difficult to work with, let alone for high school students!
I am hoping to get a full class set of scientific calculators to keep in the classroom so that every student has access to these tools.
Providing students with access to scientific calculators will allow students to focus on Chemistry content, and not be limited by their prior math skills.
These scientific calculators will be used by students during various assignments, including assessments and lab activities. One lab activity where these scientific calculators will be necessary is during our unit on density where students will calculate how thick a single piece of paper is using the mass and measured area of the sheet. This is an activity that gets students engaged and understanding the scientific process, but will be difficult to conduct without scientific calculators for each student.
My students are eager and excited to be in class, and I aspire to provide them with the resources needed to be successful.
