Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What I love most about my students is their curiosity, their sense of wonder, and the way they light up when they realize that chemistry is something they can do, not just read about.

Many come in thinking science is hard or out of reach, but when we make slime to explore polymers or use resin to understand chemical curing reactions, they’re all in.

Using simple craft materials, I can turn my classroom into a hands-on lab where students see how real chemical processes are behind things they enjoy and create. These low-cost, high-engagement activities break down barriers and help every student, regardless of background, feel like they belong in STEM.
