This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are eager and curious 2nd graders who love every opportunity to learn. This year, I have many students that are newcomers to this county and they do not speak English. My current classroom library only has reading levels starting at level E, so I am missing levels A-D, which are crucial to have to provide them with an effective reading education. Additionally, I have a carpet for my classroom that is too small to fit all of my students. I want all of my students to have a safe and comfortable spot where they can look on the carpet.
