Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 22 students are imaginative, loving, and energetic. They come from low income households in an urban community. Many do not have the technology to learn on-line and depend on worksheet packets and whatever books they may have at home. Despite the hardships they are facing with schools being closed, they are eager learners.

My Project

Distance Learning is difficult on everyone living in a low income community. My students can not leave their homes to buy books or other needed materials to continue learning at home, their parents are more concerned about purchasing groceries.

I want my students to have some basic learning materials of their own at home like leveled books to read and a journal to write in or just draw pictures.

I want to talk with them on the phone and hear about the books they have read. I want them to send me pictures of the drawings or writing in their journals.
