Leveled Library Needed for Looping Class
My students need sets of nonfiction leveled readers that meet Common Core Standards.
Do you remember stepping into your first grade classroom for the first time and seeing lots of books that you just couldn't wait to read? Unfortunately, my students have read all of my books last year in kindergarten. They need exposure to new texts.
I have a classroom of twenty-one eager students who want to read anything and everything they can get their hands on.
They attend a public school with a diverse population and variety of needs. But the one thing they have in common is the desire to read.
With these sets of nonfiction leveled readers, my students will be able to pick out a book that is on their reading level. They will be enriched by new topics and findings which will encourage them to read more thus improving their reading skills. Without these new books, my students will be reading the same books they read last year in our kindergarten room. They will be excited to read new information and a higher level than last year.
My class was with me last year in Kindergarten and we are moving up to first grade together.
They have read all of my books and would love to have new nonfiction books to inspire them this year. With your help, my students will have books at a higher level than last years texts and texts that meet the Common Core Standards.
