Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach a fantastic third grade class in an urban area of Minnesota. Many of my students' families desire to see their students graduate from high school but our actual graduation rate is one of the lowest in the state.
My students do not have access to sets of literature at their various reading levels which in turn makes it all the more difficult for them to grow as independent readers.
I need leveled libraries for 1st through 5th grade texts to provide my students with the accessibility they need. Once my students have access to literature at their specific reading level they will be able to move forward much more quickly in their own reading levels! I am asking for a 1st through 5th set because of the diverse levels of my students and I need to meet all of their needs.
Your help will provide my students with the opportunity to grow in their reading skills in a way that allows them to maintain a love for reading. You are making life long learners and readers in my classroom possible!
