My Students

Smart, Zoom proficient, adorable, hardworking, and thoughtful are just some words to describe my upcoming students that we are blessed to see day in and day out. It is truly inspiring to work with them and for them, for they teach us just as much as we teach them!

After a year of at-home learning, it is time to prepare for my upcoming students to come into our school for the first grade.

Their kindergarten school year was atypical, and I am ready to give them the true first-grade experience! They love being read to, dancing to Go Noodle videos, and earning reward points at our school.

Due to living in a low-income, underprivileged neighborhood, they do not get the same opportunities at school every day compared to students in more affluent neighborhoods. I will do anything to ensure my students' success starting in the classroom, and then leading out into the future. We want to provide these students with more opportunities because they deserve to see the world, and the world deserves to see them.

My Project

I am shopping for a leveled library for my students to access in our first grade classroom. A leveled library is an important aspect of the elementary classroom as it grows with the students throughout the years, where the students can shop for books and read every day!

My students are young readers and the leveled library will give them books that are made right for them!

Books that are on each student's level ensures confidence as a reader and helps develop a sense of love for reading. My biggest goal is help my students become readers and your donation to this project will help that happen!
