Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I currently teach 21, 2nd grade students!
My students are always eager to learn and always ready to explore and learn new things.
My classroom is located in an inner-city school with most students who come from a low socioeconomic background. Ninety- six percent of students qualify for free and reduced-priced meals. Despite these roadblocks, my students come to school ready and eager to learn. The goal of our school is to reach out to all of our students; our commitment is to educate them to become lifelong learners.
My Project
In 2nd grade, my students are all reading at a wide range of levels. During guided reading time, I am able to pull students at their reading levels and provide differentiated instruction. We have been giving 18 book bins and a guided reading books. However, we have little storage for these amazing materials.
The leveled library cart will help me and my students easily find books to read during our guided reading time by giving us access to books that are on their level.
Any donation is greatly appreciated! This will help my readers enjoy their center time much more.
