This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a fantastic class of first-grade students. They come from such rich and diverse backgrounds that enrich our classroom and the school itself. Every day they come excited to learn and become heroes by working hard as scholars.

Their eagerness to learn and grow is something I want to help them keep through their educational journeys.

My goal with using Donors Choose is to provide the best possible education experience for my students. I believe every student deserve the opportunity to experience success regardless of factors outside of school!

My Project

These books will be added to our classroom library for students to check-out during literacy centers and independent reading time. These books are both fiction and non-fiction giving my students a wide range of topics and characters to read about.

Learning how to read books that are 'just right' is so important to developing strong readers!

By donating to this project you will help my students develop their love of reading by having the agency to pick what they want at a level that is not too hard and not too easy.

I know how excited my class will be having brand new books that they can read all by themselves. My students have already started their journey of learning to read so these sets of books will allow them to grow even stronger as readers.
