This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our classroom, students are blossoming into confident, capable readers—each at their own pace. To support their individual learning journeys, we are seeking a collection of leveled readers that match a wide range of reading abilities. These books are designed to meet students right where they are, offering just the right amount of challenge to help them grow stronger in decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.

Many of my students come from homes with limited access to books, making our classroom library a critical part of their reading development.

With a diverse set of leveled readers, I can ensure every student has access to engaging, appropriately challenging texts that build both skills and confidence.

Having the right books in their hands empowers students to read independently, practice strategies taught in small groups, and feel successful. Leveled readers also allow me to tailor instruction to meet the needs of struggling readers, English learners, and those ready to soar ahead.
