As a teacher, in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges, both in and out of the classroom.
My students are an amazing group of 3rd graders that are eager to learn and explore.
They are living a growth-mindset philosophy, embracing the new learning experiences and challenges, and are ready to stretch and grow their brain muscle. Children are like sponges, ready to soak up everything. It is my pleasure and duty to help shape their precious minds to love learning and be successful.
My Project
We are half way through the school year and our reading growth has outgrown our classroom library. Students have set goals to and stretched themselves to improve their reading. We have outgrown or current class library and are in need of new books for students to read.
Students have been working so hard to improve their reading levels and it show's.
I am in need of high interest books for these amazing students to read at home and school. Dork Diaries, Middle School, and Serafina book sets are books that have complex plots and intriguing characters. By reading series books, students will be about the work on skills like character development.
