Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We’re currently limited by the extruders on our school’s 3D printer, which restricts how many projects students can print and what materials we can use. By adding new extruders, we can give every student on campus—from TK to 5th grade—access to hands-on 3D printing experiences.
These upgraded extruders will allow us to print using the same type of filament across all projects, making our printing process more efficient and cost-effective over time.
Instead of switching between incompatible materials, we’ll be able to purchase in bulk, reduce waste, and stretch our budget further as more students take part year after year.
This project will help ensure that 3D printing remains a powerful, sustainable part of our STEM and creative learning programs for all students.
