My Project
The Sennheiser MKE 400 will greatly enhance the quality of audio for interviews conducted in various settings, from our studio environment to real-world locations. This will provide students with the experience of adapting equipment and techniques for different environments, an essential skill in media production. The high-quality audio ensures that each broadcast maintains professional standards, making it easier for parents to feel engaged in school events, whether interviews take place indoors or outside of class.
Goals for this project include creating engaging, high-quality content that brings school life closer to military families, so they feel truly connected to their children’s experiences at school.
It would also enhance the quality of student-led interviews, allowing students to capture clear, high-quality sound, whether in a controlled studio setting or outdoor locations.
The students involved in our school broadcasting program, Sharkbytes, serve as the voice of a school that supports a unique, large military population. Many have family members deployed or stationed far away, and the program provides a bridge that keeps families connected despite the distance. By conducting high-quality interviews in diverse settings, students learn communication skills while also capturing moments that are especially meaningful for families separated by service.
