My Project

I am the media specialist at my school and I am working hard to promote reading! This year we have a gamer theme where students can level up by reading books and taking Accelerated Readers quizzes. Once students earn a minimum of 5 points they join the game board. As they continue to read their goal is to level up each month by earning more points. If they meet their level up goal they earn a prize from the treasure box and also an AR popcorn or Lego party. The students are doing awesome! We started with 19 students in September when we started the contest and we are now up to 149 kids up on the board. Students are also competing for the grand prize, a Kindle Fire tablet that they can read books on at home. The student in each grade level Kindergarten through 5th grade will win the Kindle Fire. The kids are so excited this year to read and can't wait until I update the board again. Your donation will help keep the fun going until May!
