This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A typical day in our class is based on learning through play. I want my students to have fun as they learn their letters and sounds. The lower and upper case magnetic letters sets will be a great tool for my students. The create and design drill kit will support them on fine motor skills.

All of my students have been identified with special needs such as autism, developmentally delayed, intellectual disability, language impairment and deaf and hard of hearing.

Our classroom is on the campus of an elementary Title I school that is economically disadvantaged and with a great percentage of English Language Learners.

My Project

My students will use the upper and lower case magnetic letters sets to review and learn their letters, as well as to identify between upper and lower case. The letter sets will be the perfect tool for my students to go over the letters and sounds. This way the children will have a fun learning experience as they manipulate the magnetic letters on the board. The create design and drill kit is the best tool for my students to practice their fine motor skills as they have fun creating different designs. Also, it is the best way to enforce and teach them turn taking. As the children use these tools every day, they will be able to learn their ABC's, letter sounds, and develop their fine motor skills. The laminator machine would be a great classroom tool because I use a lot of visuals in the classroom, and I want to laminate all of them in order for them to last the entire school year. Also, I like to laminate all of the pictures of the children and have them around the classroom.

They will have the opportunity to be in a classroom where they will have the best teaching tools based on their needs.

My students will be ready to go to kindergarten. These incredible materials will be a great tool for this group of young people. Your generosity will positively impact the children's lives and their families.
