This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is filled with students who have a variety of different needs. Some students have disabilities, some are learning English, some have emotional needs. Some of my students simply need to be challenged. Despite their challenges, they all come to school very eager to learn and bring a lot to the table.

My students don't necessarily have extra materials or resources at home, so they are very appreciative of the ones we have inside the classroom.

This school is in a low-income area, filled with children with many different needs, but seeing them have the opportunity to have these amazing materials from Donors Choose is truly a blessing! These materials will really help my students explore. Thank you in advance for adding to the success of our classroom!

My Project

Having a Cricut in the classroom will help enhance our stations on a daily basis. Many of my students are on various levels in the classroom. Some are working on comprehension skills, while others still need help with letter sounds. This device will help create games such as memory games, sight word recognition, go fish and more to help my students on a daily basis. Since my students are on different levels, it would also be helpful to make individualized anchor charts as well. Students would use these materials on a daily basis during our literacy stations. Some students will work on letter sounds, while others are working on blending. This will help to meet the needs of all of the students in my classroom!
