My Project
I am a teacher of 3-5 year old’s! My classroom is comprised of mostly students with special needs that come from families that are in a lower socioeconomic level. I try to provide my students with a literacy rich environment that invites creativity and a lifelong love for learning!
To the students, these things look like toys and fun.
In my eyes, they are receiving exposure to literacy that will build a solid foundation for their lifelong journey of learning! They will absolutely love playing the alphabet bowling. I plan on using the letter of the day/week chart daily to reinforce the letter we are focusing on. I also would like to make a whole area in our classroom just for letters and literacy hands on activities. Tactile letters are also so helpful in retaining the information for young learners!
