This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a wonderful group of 3 year olds eager to learn about the world around them. They are not afraid to push their limits and to overcome difficulties. For many of them it is the first experience in school after months of pandemic and we want to make their year extra special!

My Project

My 3 year old students are beginning to learn about letters. These materials will help us foster pre-literacy skills which are the foundation to successful readers. In addition, children will use the puzzles to develop problem solving, hand-eye coordination, perseverance and a joy for learning. As the children complete the puzzles that depict life cycles of different animals, they will increase their knowledge of how animals develop and grow and will become curious about the world around them. This curiosity will lead them to ask and answer questions about how things change in nature.
