it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
In my little corner of a classroom you will see little hands raised high in the air and hear excited voices say "Pick me please" or "I want to try." This is what happens everyday when I work with each group of my kindergarten, first, or second grade special education/ESL students. They love learning and are always excited to try new things! Our motto is " I'll try my best". When working in a Title 3 high needs community, this can be difficult trying new things can be hard when you are lacking the tools to practice on. We are really in need of magnetic/dry erase boards to demonstrate what we have learned and 12 small dry erase/magnetic boards to help us practice our skills independently! We would appreciate any help you can give to help us continue on our learning adventure!! Thank you!!
My Project
In my little corner of the classroom, my students work so hard at learning! For my special education and ELL students, holding on to information and making sense of the English language is an everyday struggle but they never give up. These materials (boards, letters, markers etc.,) will help my kids practice what they are learning and give them something to hold onto! They will be able to stretch out their words, practice writing their letters, and star words. They will be able to practice their word families! They will have the opportunity to show off what they are learning!
