Letter Learning, Fun Oh My!

My Project

As an early childhood teacher one of the most important part of our day is our reading block which is when we learn our letters and sounds. These skills are so important to the foundation of my students learning for years to come.

Some times children need some more support or a more multi sensory way of learning to help them master their letters and sounds.

These materials will help implement a multi sensory reading support program for my kindergartners. The letter tubs will allow my students to see objects that start with the letter we are learning. The trays and sand will be used so that the children can write the letters in a different way than just pen to paper. Sometimes adding something a little different and fun makes learning enjoyable. The mesh pad is also a trick that makes the letters bumpy when they write on it and then they can trace it after the fact.
