Help me give my students a great experience with remote learning with an Acer laptop. The current district laptop I have is quite slow and freezes during our zoom sessions.
I teach a very diverse group of students that travel from all over Los Angeles to be a part of our school. They are the youngest at a span school that goes all the way through high school. They are energetic and motivated. They love learning and trying new things! Many of them wake up extra early to ride a bus to SOCES. I co-teach with a wonderful resource teacher to fully include our special education students in a general education classroom. However this year will be very different and an adjustment for all with distance learning.
My Project
I'd love to have a more up to date laptop that can keep up with the demands of remote learning. My current district laptop freezes during Zoom sessions. I need a laptop that can handle several open tabs while Zooming, so I can share a variety of activities without wasting precious time transitioning to each portion of the lesson.
I'm quite good with tech, and I'd like to create more interesting interactive lessons for my classes to keep student engagement strong during remote learning.
I will use my current laptop to track participation during our class discussions while teaching from the new laptop. This will protect the privacy of students.
