This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Not everything has to be digital; can you believe my class still uses paper for their writing? One huge component of my course is for students to have a writing/interactive journal. I think it is essential that they have a physical journal in which they can put their thoughts and work down. Typing on a computer saves time because it is a faster process but taking notes by hand improves students' memorization and retention. In addition, my students use anchor charts by creating posters of new terms. These posters are then proudly displayed in our classroom for the remainder of the year.
As we are over half the year, my students need more post-it notes, paper, notebooks, and anchor charts.
The requested items will help students keep all their writing work in one notebook. In addition, they will be able to create anchor charts to help them remember new concepts and terms.
