Let's Write About Healthy Eating

My students need 2 cartridges of ink and a case of paper in order to write and print book reports about healthy eating.

My Students

Do you remember learning which foods are delicious and nutritious? My students are just learning about what foods are nutritious.

I teach 22 first graders in a high crime and high poverty school in Pennsylvania.

All of the students at my school receive free breakfast and free lunch. Many of my students read below grade level. Many of them come from homes where English is not spoken.

My Project

I am requesting paper and ink for my first grade class. I would like for my students to write a book report about what foods are good for you and what foods are not good for you. The students are going to write these reports on our classroom computers. I am hoping that they will be able to print these reports on our classroom printer. In order to print these reports about healthy eating, we need paper and ink.

I would like to be able to print my students' stories about nutritious foods. I would also like to make a booklet for each of my students based on their stories.
